January 1998 the TV you watch, the radio you
listen to, the mags and papers you read and the
web sites you browse will feature productions,
art, words, faces and voices of young people from
across the country. The first event of its kind,
the LOUD Media Festival of Youth Culture and the
Arts will present the artistic and creative
visions of young Australians 12 to 25 on TV,
radio, in print and on the Internet.
As part of
the festival, LOUD is looking for the most
exciting and innovative artists in the country.
LOUD will
profile young artists, performers and their work
on television, radio, in online galleries and
festival magazines.
Whether or
not you're already a recognized artist (you may
not even consider yourself an artist) if you
think your creative output is worthwhile and
interesting then we'd like to hear from you.
Every kind of artistic pursuit will be
considered.
Alternatively,
if you know of an organisation or individual who
would make an interesting subject for a profile,
then you can nominate them and their work as
well.
Guidelines
To be
eligible to be nominated for a profile as part of
the LOUD Media Festival of Youth Culture and the
Arts the artist(s) or performer(s) must be an
Australian citizen or resident and be 12 - 25
years of age as at 30 September 1997.
The DEADLINE
for nominations is 1st October 1997. However, the
earlier you get your nomination in, the better
your chances of being profiled, especially on TV.
